Following her graduation from the University of San Francisco, Angelica Mendoza (she/her/hers) relocated to New York to pursue her Master of Social Work degree at Lehman College. During her studies, Angelica began working with Good Shepherd Services and discovered her passion for working with the youth of New York City. She interfaced with communities and families ensuring a safe and developmentally appropriate environment, where each child or teen and their family could gain education, support, and the space to grow, thrive, and succeed, regardless of the challenges ahead. Angelica has over a decade of experience working in the New York education system as a social worker and counselor, whereby she has assisted adolescents in suspension sites and mentoring programs. In addition, she has worked with children, teens, and young adults in an outpatient mental health setting, particularly serving the LGBTQ+ community and clients presenting as neurodivergent. Angelica is bilingual (Spanish) and is available to see teens, adults, couples and families.
